THESE WONDERFUL VERY RARE OLD PORCELAIN MEDALLIONS
ARE FROM THE EARLY 1940'S AND COME FROM JAPAN,
KNOWN FOR THEIR FINE WORK, - EACH PIECE HAS A
STAMP ON ITS BACK.
THEY HAVE A HOLE ON EITHER SIDE FOR
HANGING. THE MEDALLION IS CURVED, NOT FLAT.
THEY DEPICT A VICTORIAN COUPLE OUT
IN THE MEADOWS SURROUNDED BY GRASS AND DELICATE
BUSHES. THE FRONT HAS A SOFTLY GLAZED FINISH.
THE SCENE IS SO LOVELY, -THE PHOTO DOES IT NO JUSTICE!
